Admission

For online application; the information will be saved in the system. Applicant can save the data and pay the fee via QR Payment (QR Code payment from mobile applications of the applicant’s bank, not the LINE QR Code)

The input data (your information) can be saved in our admission system and possible to re-edit any time when you login to the system here

For applicant who comes to apply at Graduate School, in the official time; the procedures will be the same as in the online application. But there will be staff at Graduate School (1st floor) who will give advices in data saving and files uploading in the system. Then, applicant can proceed the fee payment at Finance Department, 2nd floor.  

Foreigner can apply to study here if the programs have teaching-studying courses. Student must be able to speak and write in Thai. If it is a thesis-only type, student can also apply for it. However, for all the process, student must contact the program before completing the application process. 

The details of date and time for class in each program are not the same. Applicant can ask for more information from those programs. Graduate School has already provided the phone numbers and e-mails of related staff in each program in the Admission details.

Scholarship

Chiang Mai University has a scholarship called CMU Presidential Scholarship which advocates academic fee and other expenses for students in Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree. 100 scholarships will be distributed in each degree level (200 scholarships in total). This scholarship is a scholarship advocating student in Graduate Studies level in both regular programs and international programs which have thesis or dissertation doing. The task is to work as TA (Teaching Assistant) or RA (Research Assistant) to lighten the work of professor/lecturer in the program and faculty which student studies in. The scholarship will be allocated into the amount of no more than 108,000 baht (one hundred and eight thousand baht) per year, which will be paid monthly as installments for 9,000 baht (nine thousand baht) for no more than 12 months

Academic year 2021 (2563), student with code 60 and 61 can ask for funds continually

It is a scholarship which advocates student in Graduate Studies level, who earns the CMU e-TEGS score for less than 40, with 3,500 baht fund. And for student who earns the score for more than 40 but less than 60; 2,500 baht fund in order to participate in the tuition initiated by HAS Center, Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University.

Graduate School has funds for student who will be displaying academic activities/performances in both domestic and international level. Student can ask for fund 2 times/academic year

1st round: From October 1st – March 30th of the following year

2nd round: From April 1st – September 30th every year
