INTRODUCTION

            The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, is devoted to participating in producing competent scientists and biotech­nological experts who will be able to solve the public health problems of their own country systematically and accurately and to build academic networks with international scientists. The graduates must be well equipped with knowledge as well as morality and competency to study, analyze, research. develop and provide scientific and technological services to the general public. They will be able to serve the demands for skilled scientists and biotech­nologists of Thailand as well as other countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), South- East Asia(SEA), South Asia, Middle Asia and the Middle East. Their research work done in fulfillment of the requirements of the .Doctorate Degree of Biomedical Science will be of high quality and beneficial and practicable for the solution of public health problems of their own country, and internationally publicized in order to enhance the reputation of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences of Chiang Mai University.

 

                

 

OBJECTIVES

            1. To produce doctorate biomedical scientists who possess a deep knowledge, high competency and experiences of high-quality research at the international level to solve the public health problems of their own society and country.

            2. To produce moral and ethical doctorate biomedical scientists capable of working smoothly and effectively with other academics in different fields.

 

RESEARCH AREAS

1. HIV and AIDS treatment and prevention

2. Antigen and antibody engineering and production

3. Radiophamaceutical and medical imaging

4. Molecular markers for functional imaging s. Polyphanols and anticancer agents

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICANTS

         1. Curriculum type 1(1) was designed for applicants holding a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences or any other related sciences with cum. GPA of 3.25 or higher or having acceptable qualifications approved by the curriculum administrative committee.

         2. Curriculum type 1(2) was designed for applicants holding a Master of Science degree in health sciences or any other related sciences with cumulative grade point average (cum. GPA) of 3.25 or higher or having acceptable qualifications approved by the curriculum administrative committee.
